*Mixed Media Tutorial * (Dani Peuss Aprilkit)

Ich habe heute eine Anleitung für eine Mixed Media Karte im Gepäck. Gemacht habe ich sie mit dem Mixed Media Add On zum Dani Peuss Aprilkit. Es enthält eine Menge dünner Designpapiere, die ideal für Collagen sind.Dazu gibt es gleich auch den passenden Decoupagekleber. Man kann aber ebenso gut Mod Podge oder Gelmedium nehmen.

Today I have a tutorial for a mixed media card for you, made with the Dani Peuss April Mixed Media Kit.
The kit contains lots of lovely papers which are great to use for collage techniques. I used the Decoupage glue from the kit but it also works with Mod Podge or matte medium.

Wir benötigen ein Stück Mixed Media Papier oder anderes festes Papier oder Karton als Basis für die Collage. Die Größe richtet sich nach dem geplanten Kartenformat. Mein Kartenrohling hat die Maße 6x6" und  das Mixed Media Papier ist etwas kleiner zugeschnitten.

We need a piece of mixed media paper or other thick paper or cardstock. The size depends on the size of the card you want to make. My card is 6x6" so I cut the paper a bit smaller.

Zuerst trage ich eine Schicht Gesso auf das Papier auf.

I first apply a layer of Gesso.

Dann schneide ich mir einige Stücke Papier, eine alte Buchseite und ein Stück Stoff zurecht.

Then I take some pieces of paper, a book page and a piece of fabric.

Zuerst eine Schicht Kleber auftragen...

I  apply a layer of my glue or matte medium...

...und platziere dann Papier und Stoff und bestreiche das Ganze nochmals mit Kleber.

...arrange papers and fabric and add another layer of glue.

Dazu kommen jetzt noch weitere Papierstreifen und ein paar ausgeschnittene Blüten.

 I add another stripe of paper and some blossoms .

Darüber kommt eine weitere Schicht Gesso.

Then I paint it over with gesso.

Im nächsten Schritt nehme ich ein Feuchttuch und wische etwas von dem Gesso wieder ab.

 I take a babywipe and wipe over the paper and blossoms to take off the gesso.

So sieht das Ganze dann aus.

That's how our collage looks like now.

Mit einer Kreisschablone und weißem Gelatostift male ich nun Kreise.

I paint circles using a template and a white Gelato pen.

Ich zeichne den Umriss der Kreise mit schwarzem Gelatostift oder einem schwarzen Aquarellstift nach.

For drawing the outlines I use a black Gelato pen or a black watercolor pencil.

Das Ganze wird dann mit Pinsel und Wasser vermalt.

I paint it over with water and a paint brush.

Im nächsten Schritt wird gestempelt.Ich benutze dazu wasserfeste StazOn Stempelfarbe, die auf so ziemlich jedem Untergrund haftet.

Next step is adding some stamping. I use a StazOn ink pad which works on nearly every surface.

So sieht das fertig aus.

Here's the result

Jetzt noch die Collage auf den Kartenrohling nähen.

Now I sew the collage on my card.

Zum Schluss füge ich noch ein paar ausgestanzte Blätter hinzu...

I finally add some diecut leaves...

... und meine Karte ist fertig.
